** Pay****$18–$20 per hour, depending on experience**##
** Schedule
* *** Four days per week, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
** Candidates need availability for any four days of the week, including weekdays and weekends.

** Job Description
** Happy Dog Ranch Horse Sanctuary is seeking a compassionate and reliable
** Animal Care Team Membe
** r to help care for the horses and other rescued animals that call the sanctuary home.
This is a hands-on, physical outdoor position for someone who has horse-care experience, enjoys working with animals, and wants to be part of a mission-driven nonprofit organization.

* Responsibilities include:
*** Providing daily feeding and animal care
* Monitoring animal health and well-being
* Handling horses and other animals safely and confidently
* Responding appropriately to animal emergencies
* Operating ranch equipment
* Maintaining and updating animal records
* Communicating and working closely with the sanctuary team
*
* Qualifications:
*** Horse-care experience is required
* Experience administering medications is a plus
* Compassionate, dependable, and respectful of animals
* Detail-oriented with good time-management skills
* Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
* Willing to occasionally adjust schedules to cover team members
* Comfortable learning ranch equipment, including a skid steer and tractor
* Comfortable using technology; the ranch uses Slack and Stable Secretary
* Able to lift 50 pounds
* Strong team player
