We are currently accepting applicants at all levels within the Manheim Mobile Inspections team. Please review the specific role requirements below.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Vehicle Inspection & Documentation
    • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections per Manheim standards.
    • Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
    • Verify VINs, mileage, sub‑series, and options; enter data accurately.
    • Document exterior and interior condition, including mechanical checks.
    • Identify and record damage, missing components, or non‑operable features.
  • Client Engagement & Territory Management
    • Build trust with dealer clients through quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
    • Educate clients on the value of Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspections.
    • Proactively engage to increase inspection volume and maintain participation.
    • Use data, insights, and partner input to maximize efficiency and productivity.
    • Adapt to daily schedule changes to ensure effective dealer coverage.
  • Reporting, Tools & Collaboration
    • Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
    • Use  for reporting, lead management, and performance tracking.
    • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
  • Safety, Compliance & Standards
    • Maintain production expectations set by leadership.
    • Follow all safety and health procedures and participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.
    • Comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Role‑Specific Requirements Mobile Inspector – Level 1

Summary Entry‑level role responsible for conducting vehicle inspections under established processes while learning Manheim standards, tools, and client engagement practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
  • 0–1 years of automotive‑related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required time frames.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Safely move and handle vehicles on dealer lots.
  • Accurately document vehicle condition and data in inspection systems.
  • Develop working knowledge of inspection standards and client expectations.
Mobile Inspector – Level 2

Summary Intermediate role responsible for independently managing assigned inspection activity, delivering high‑quality inspections, and supporting growth within the assigned territory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • 1–2 years of automotive‑related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required time frames.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct detailed and complex vehicle inspections.
  • Manage daily inspection schedules efficiently across dealer locations.
  • Build strong working relationships with dealer clients.
  • Utilize data and insights to expand inspection volume and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration.
Mobile Inspector – Senior Level

Summary Senior role responsible for advanced vehicle inspections, mentoring peers, and serving as a trusted inspection professional within the assigned territory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required.
  • 2–3 years of automotive‑related experience strongly preferred.
  • 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required time frames.
