** Job summary
** Responsible for ensuring an extraordinary customer store experience while operating cash registers, collecting payment and providing customer service assistance on the floor.
** Summary of essential job functions:
*** Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
* Accurately operates cash register, collects payment
* Ability to ring minimum speed of 30 items per minute
* Anticipates customer needs and answer all questions and requests thoroughly, including assistance with store layout, service and activities
* Basic knowledge of pricing and products
* Detailed knowledge of produce codes
* Provide suggestions and product recommendations to customers
* Ensure all customer and phone inquiries and pages are handled with appropriate telephone etiquette.
* Provides support to Grocery Department for stocking food, packing/pricing products and merchandise
* Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned

*** Exceptional customer service skills
* Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Strong basic math skills including add, multiply, divide, subtract and calculate percentages.
* Previous experience working in a retail environment preferred.
* Ability to multitask and use organizational skills
