Job Overview
PBNA $20.25 / hour. The Merchandiser is responsible for product merchandising within large volume stores, including stocking shelves, rotating product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating coolers, organizing storage rooms, and moving product from storage to the sales floor. The role interacts with personnel at the store location and requires lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting.
This is a labor‑intensive position with a consistent schedule.
- Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with products in assigned accounts
- Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf
- Transport products to and from the backroom to shelf location
- Use equipment to transport products (e.g., U‑boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks)
- Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts
- Keep back‑room stock neat and orderly
- Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi Co management
- Build customer relationships at the store level
- Comply with operating procedures (e.g., scan‑in/scan‑out, following designated route)
- Service accounts during designated times established by management
- Deliver customer service (communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs)
- Operate under minimal supervision (self‑managed role)
- Use hand‑held devices to write/input orders
- Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- 18 years or older
- Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable)
- Have a car or personal transportation to access multi‑store locations within the assigned shift
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Proof of insurance
- Experience in a retail business or grocery store (knowledge of store operations, backroom and inventory, stocking aisles and shelves)
- Experience moving products within a store using equipment (e.g., u‑boat, hand truck, dolly)
- Experience merchandising products (filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out‑of‑stocks and out‑of‑date products)
- Experience managing back‑room/stock‑room inventory (organizing pallets, stacking and storing inventory)
- Experience serving customers (handling complaints, responding to requests, meeting needs)
For positions requiring use of a personal vehicle for a sales route, mileage reimbursement is provided. The company may conduct a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
