We sell through national distributors who supply contractors, civil engineering firms, and project owners across the country and around the world. Our product drives strong repeat demand, and our sales team owns real relationships at every level of the channel. This is a tight-knit team where your contributions are visible and your ideas are heard.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of national distributor accounts and direct customer relationships from first contact through order fulfillment
- Work directly with contractors in the field, building relationships at the project level
- Respond promptly to inbound website inquiries; qualify leads and track all activity in Salesforce CRM
- Proactively develop new business through outbound outreach to contractors, civil engineers, environmental consultants, and project owners
- Monitor distributor inventory levels; manage stocking orders and ensure product availability
- Prepare accurate quotes standard distributor pricing and project-specific pricing
- Deliver virtual product presentations and lunch-and-learns to technical and professional audiences
- Represent FODS at trade shows, supplier conferences, and industry events (domestic travel required; occasional international)
Required:
- Background in construction, civil engineering, project management, estimating, or equipment rental you understand how job sites run and how decisions get made in the field
- Sales, account management, or customer-facing experience OR a strong construction background with genuine interest in transitioning into sales
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or a comparable platform you log activity consistently, manage your pipeline in the system, and use data to prioritize your time
- Strong communicator, comfortable presenting to technical audiences by video and in person
- Self-directed and organized you manage your own pipeline and follow through without being micromanaged
- Comfort representing a company at trade shows and industry events
Preferred:
- Direct sales experience in construction materials, building products, or equipment rental
- Familiarity with stormwater management, ESC, SWPPP, or environmental compliance requirements
- Experience working with or selling through national distributors
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
$65,000 – $90,000 base salary, plus additional commissions and bonuses.
