Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven Electrical Installer to join our culture. In this role you will install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and more. You will work closely with customers and internal colleagues to provide technical support and training.

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment (security, fire alarm & life safety, building automation).
• Work closely with customers and internal colleagues to provide technical installation support and training.
• Assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers and refer complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; repair equipment using knowledge of electronics, test instruments, and hand tools.
• Provide basic installation assistance as directed by the project lead.
• Act as the customer’s best service provider at all times, ensuring Convergint is the first choice for service.
• Take ownership of onsite projects, including safety, quality, and performance, and observe Convergint quality standards.
• Make suggestions to improve installation methods, profitability, and quality.
• Learn and perform tasks required of an Electrical Installer III to progress through the trade program.
• Provide feedback to the job lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with assigned tasks, acting as primary liaison to the project lead.

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3‑5 years in the electronic security industry.
• Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
• Solid construction skills and understanding of system plans, blueprints, design drawings, wiring schematics, cut sheets, and cable support installation.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings, and to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure without prompting.
• Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
• Experience with Axis, Bosch, DMP, Lenel, or other software houses.
• Certifications & licenses such as Project Management Institute (PMI) or industry‑specific certifications.
