Pay Range: $120,000 - $190,000 per year (offers based on experience)
Position OverviewCimarron is seeking Flight Software Developers to join a key team supporting human spaceflight programs. The position is fully remote but prefers candidates based in Centennial, CO to facilitate meetings and lab access.
Key Duties- Develop, maintain, and modify flight software for launch vehicle and human spaceflight programs.
- Work as part of an Agile/Scrum team to support requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, and verification.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to guide software design and development.
- Write and perform unit tests on software changes.
- Conduct software peer reviews.
- Develop and run integration tests.
- Support embedded systems testing, hardware/software integration, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residence only (eligible due to facility security).
- Valid, unexpired Real
-compliant driver’s license or state hire. - Completion of pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, including marijuana use.
- 5+ years of experience with C++, Python, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, simulations, and Linux-based OS.
- Experience with object-oriented software design and development.
- Experience developing or maintaining automated software tests.
- Experience with requirements analysis, verification, systems engineering concepts, and integration.
- Understanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools (Bitbucket, Jira).
- Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, Mathematics, SE, or related discipline.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
- Experience working in a SAFe/Agile environment.
