About the RoleThe Dev Sec Ops Software Engineer role involves deploying, configuring and maintaining a robust software development environment. This mid-level position requires a strong understanding of software development principles, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments such as the Big Bang framework.
This role spans both on-premises and cloud environments, with particular emphasis on air-gapped operations. The ideal candidate will design and maintain infrastructure using secure IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible, implement comprehensive observability solutions for proactive monitoring, and seamlessly integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle. You must have strong expertise in container technologies, Git Ops workflows, infrastructure as code, software development workflows, and security tooling.
You should be comfortable collaborating with development teams to optimize processes and ensure high-quality, reproducible software delivery that meets stringent compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:- Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
- Typically, 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of at least one programming language, and general knowledge of others.
- Strong understanding of software development principles.
- Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments.
- Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Security Plus or IAT2 certification
- Proven experience as a Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops Engineer
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Git Hub or Git Lab)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
