We are currently seeking Summer Special Education Teachers for ESY 2026. Several Summer Special Education Teacher positions exist within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These positions are for school age programs throughout the county.
Positions are temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

• 8:00 AM- 2:30 PM (6.5 hours a day)
• Monday - Thursday
• A retention bonus of $600 for professionals who work the entirety of the ESY program with no absences.

• Applicants must hold a Valid PDE certification in Special Education or be willing to become emergency certified in the area of Special Education
• Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances required.
• Must be able to work entire ESY session.
• Experience working with Special Education Students preferred.

Applicant will be expected to develop and implement an individual instructional program for students.

• 0-13 years experience = $39.00 per hour
• 14-28 years experience = $44.00 per hour
• 29+ years experience = $49.00 per hour

• 1-5 salary scale steps: $39.00 per hour
• 6-10 salary scale steps: $44.00 per hour
• 11 and above salary scale steps: $49.00 per hour
