Head Start Preschool Assistants- IU Countywide (26/27 SY)

• Assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with adults and children
• Assist the teacher in caring for children

• CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required within 2 years of hire
• Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting strongly preferred
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required within one year of hire
• Clearance as an MA provider by Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
• NSOR Clearance upon hire

Note: If hired without an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, employees must fulfill an educational requirement to obtain their CDA within 2 years of hire.

PRJ, Based on years of experience in a relevant position

7.5 hours per day (8 AM - 4 PM), 5 days per week, 200 days a year
