At the present time, a vacancy for a part-time Cafeteria Worker exists within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The CCIU provides services to the 12 school districts in Chester County. This includes services to nearly 86,000 public and non-public school students and over 6,000 educators. The Chester County Intermediate Unit is one of 29 regional educational agencies established by law in Pennsylvania in 1971. • Schedule: may vary depending upon need. Up to 18 hours per week, year-round.
• Work Hours:
  May vary. Please note that this position is anticipated to take place during the business day, not in the evenings or on weekends.

• High school diploma required
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required prior to hire
• PA school personnel health form required prior to hire
• Must be able to lift between 20 to 35 lbs consistently on a daily basis and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Valid driver's license preferred

• Participate in the preparation and serving of quantity and quality food and to observe all methods of portion control in both preparation and serving then record on production sheet.
• Participate with reheating foods in microwaves and other devices.
• Follow HACCP (Food Safety Plan) procedures, maintain sanitary conditions and complete necessary recording of all temperatures, etc.
• Operate a point of sale (P.O.S.) computerized screen, count money, complete deposit slips and associated paperwork as needed.
• Responsible for limited food purchasing. Follow proper procedures for receiving and storing all food and supplies.
• Able to lift between 20 to 35 lbs consistently on a daily basis and up to 40 lbs occasionally.

• $14.77- $15.82 per hour based on experience in a similar position
