Position Title: Assembly

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

QPS Employment Group has a great Assembly position available at a company in Centerville, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Visually inspect metal and components for imperfections.
- Assemble kits and components for refrigeration units.
- Assemble refrigeration units following quality standards and work order instructions.
- Perform various assembly functions using hand and power tools.
- Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment as required.
- Work at different workstations based on production needs.
- Identify parts for assigned product lines and ensure proper placement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine size, location, and type of components.
- Cut, bend, and braze tubing to form liquid and suction lines of refrigeration systems.
- Remove air from systems and charge them with the correct type and amount of refrigerant.
- Conduct pre-startup checks on all equipment.
- Read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Assembly Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work in a hot environment.
- Ability to work while lying down, standing, or sitting.
- Must be able to perform fast-paced hand–eye coordinated tasks.
- Experience in electrical, carpentry, or refrigeration work is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders is required.
- Basic skills using hand-held power tools and measurement devices.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with coworkers and supervisors.
