Job Description

To manage and lead overall plant operations ensuring the achievement of plant targets for Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost. This includes providing strong leadership to the plant team and managing systems, equipment, people, and materials according to policies, procedures, specifications, and customer requirements. The role reports directly to the Director‑Manufacturing.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Lead and drive plant safety culture and put safety first in all responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities and problem areas for targeted improvement by creating, reviewing, and monitoring data or reports that show performance against KPIs (safety, quality, waste, and productivity).
  • Oversee all aspects of human capital planning and management for the facility, including goal setting, improvement targets, salary planning, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with department safety, product safety, fire protection, company policies, and housekeeping programs.
  • Ensure effective, timely and well‑developed communications for all product associates.
  • Manage process control initiatives by ensuring manufacturing SOPs exist and are sufficient for quality, safety, and process control.
  • Lead plant budgeting processes and execution of plant cap‑ex.
  • Lead and ensure growth of a continuous improvement culture by providing resources, participating in teams, and leading teams as necessary.
  • Ensure facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Drive employee engagement action planning.
  • Lead communication to all plant associates regarding business needs and results.
  • Lead efforts at best‑practice sharing with other facilities.
  • Meet safety targets and drive a safety culture to send every employee home every day without injury.
  • Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPIs.
  • Deliver on established budget.
  • Best‑practice leadership.
  • Effective, cost‑efficient planning and utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
  • Strong human‑capital planning, development, and management for the facility.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 7‑10+ years of relevant experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for safety.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in flexible packaging.
  • Demonstrates the 3 E's – Energy, Empowerment, Execution.
  • Lives Amcor core values and leads by example in demonstration of the core values.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
