Join Amcor as a Machine Operator
, where you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating printing presses or e-beam treaters while maintaining product quality standards.
12‑hour, 2‑2‑3 Straight Nights, 7:30 pm‑7:30 am and 8:00 pm‑8:00 am OR 10‑hour Nights.
- Work 3 to 4 nights per week on regularly scheduled shift
- Must be able to have the flexibility to train on day shift
- 12 hour night shift schedule includes 8 hours of overtime pay every 2 weeks

What you'll do:
- Operate printing press or e‑beam treater in a safe and efficient manner.
- Wear required PPE.
- Maintain product quality standards, perform quality tests at required frequencies.
- Troubleshoot and repair machines when possible to maximize run time.
- Notify supervisor when machine is down due to mechanical or quality issues.
- Report all unsafe operating conditions to supervisor.
- Understand and follow all work instructions and product safety guidelines.
- Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Understand and maintain Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSIs).
- Understand and follow cleaning schedules to keep work area neat and clean.
- Relieve other machines for breaks and meetings.
- On occasion, job duties other than those specifically listed above will be assigned.
- Good work history.
- Able to read and speak English.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler.
- Willing to work Sundays, occasional mandatory overtime, and holidays.
- Reliable attendance.
- Must not be sensitive to inks, solvents or powder.
- Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job task.
- Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and exert up to 50 lbs. of pressure.
- Must be able to generate up to 10 lbs. of pinch strength on a rare basis with each hand while performing job task.
- Must be able to stand for at least 12 hours.
- Stoop, kneel or squat on a rare basis when handling products.
- Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling products.
- Climb steps.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours.
