Job Description

Join Amcor as a Machine Operator
, where you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating printing presses or e‑beam treaters while maintaining product quality standards.

• 12‑hour, 2‑2‑3 straight nights, 7:30 pm–7:30 am and 8:00 pm–8:00 am
• Work 3 to 4 nights per week on a regular shift
• Must be able to train on day shift as needed
• 12‑hour night shift includes 8 hours of overtime pay every 2 weeks
• Additional overtime available

• Pay: $20.31–$21.50 /hour + $1.00/night shift premium + increases at 3 months and 1 year

• Operate printing press or e‑beam treater safely and efficiently.
• Wear required PPE.
• Maintain product quality standards and perform quality tests at required frequencies.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines when possible to maximize run time.
• Notify supervisor when machine is down due to mechanical or quality issues.
• Report all unsafe operating conditions to supervisor.
• Follow all work instructions and product safety guidelines.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Follow Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSIs).
• Follow cleaning schedules to keep work area neat and clean.
• Relieve other machines during breaks and meetings.
• Perform occasional duties not specifically listed above.

• Good work history.
• Able to read and speak English.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler.
• Willing to work Sundays, occasional mandatory overtime, and holidays.
• Reliable attendance.
• Not sensitive to inks, solvents or powder.
• Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks.
• Perform occasional elevated work when handling products.

• Lift up to 50 lbs and exert up to 50 lbs of pressure.
• Generate up to 10 lbs of pinch strength on a rare basis with each hand while performing job tasks.
• Stand for at least 12 hours.
• Stoop, kneel or squat on a rare basis when handling products.
• Reach forward and to the side frequently when handling products.
• Climb steps.
• Perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours.
