Job Title: Material Handler II - Water Spider (Final Assembly, Refrigeration, Framing, Sub-Assembly/Refrigeration)

What we are looking forThe Water Spider is responsible for understanding the department's processes and needs to provide support to the assigned department, such as tracking down parts, resolving issues, and communicating with team members as well as across different departments.
What you'll be responsible for in this role- Demonstrated understanding of production operations
- Assist assigned department with tracking parts, resolving issues, and communicating with team members
- Assume some or all Lead responsibilities when needed
- Assume other activities and responsibilities from time-to-time as directed by supervisor
- Read and comprehend a job order, bill of materials, blueprint, text, or schematic drawings
- Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information and identify proper tools needed to perform duties in respective area
- Assist with lean initiatives on the floor and participate and/or lead continuous improvement events
- Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
- Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
- Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
- Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
- Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual’s product line or work cell
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player
- Effectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem solving
- A fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organization
- A passion for getting things right

- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings
- Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices
- Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction
- Occasionally — Sitting, Climbing/Balancing, Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Pushing/Pulling, Gripping, Pinching, Neck Rotation/Extension, and Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently — Standing, Reaching, Foot Use, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 25 lbs.
- Constantly — Walking and Lift/Carry up to 10 lbs.
