Work Schedule
Work 3 to 4 shifts per week, 3 day weekend every other week, additional overtime available after training is complete.
Compensation- $24.10/hour (pay based on skill set)
- 12-hour 2-2-3 straight night shift

The area mechanic is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment in assigned area. (The Press Area would include flexographic presses, slitters. Finishing Area would be bag machines and powdering equipment. Equipment in Extrusion would consist of extruders, EBCU treaters and blending equipment)
Duties- All maintenance of a mechanical nature, including piping, sheet metal and minor electrical work such as replacing blown fuses, sealing heaters, pilot lights and plug-in modules.
- Required to use common hand tools, power tools and test equipment such as a continuity tester and volt-ammeter.
- Works on compressed air lines and equipment instrumentation as required.
- Assist other mechanics as directed and is responsible for clean-up after assignments are completed.
- All mechanical work necessary for annual machine overhauls.
- Will be required to do some welding and fabrication of metal machine guards from blueprints, sketches and/or verbal instructions in a good work-like manner.
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints and technical drawing.
- Perform all gas, mig and tig welding and fabrication.
- Read and follow instructions.
- Be able to write or print legible.
- Record complete work in log books on equipment.
- In performing all job duties, safe work practices must be maintained.
- Must provide training on new and existing equipment.
- All Good Manufacturing Practices must be followed
- Must know and maintain respective role in Food Safety.
- Must provide own personal hand tools and not be sensitive to powder or solvents.
- Complete 21 Home Study Courses in appropriate time.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed

- Strength:
Heavy work exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Climbing:
Job requires frequent ascending and descending steps of work platform, ladder, or scaffolding to work on equipment. - Standing/walking:
Job requires continuous standing and frequent walking; opportunity to sit on breaks. - Bending/stooping/kneeling/crouching:
Job requires frequent bending body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist; and occasional crouching. - Reaching:
Job requires occasionally extending hands and arms in any direction. - Push/pulling:
Job requires frequent use of upper extremities to press against objects with steady force, and frequent use of upper extremities to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. - Lifting:
Job requires frequent lifting of objects up to 80# from a lower to a higher position and moving objects horizontally from position to position. - Grasping/fingering/feeling:
Job requires frequent grasping of objects by applying pressure with the fingers and palm. - Talking/hearing:
Job requires frequently talking and hearing for the purpose of receiving instructions and hearing is also necessary to make discrimination in sound when making adjustments. - Repetitive motions:

Continuous visual inspection is required involving small defects, machine operation and use of measurement devices. Must have good vision, either naturally or corrected, be able to see subtle color differences and details in order to check electrical wire colors, warning labels, and components. - Reads/Write:
