What we are looking for:
Woodshop is responsible for setting up, operating, or tending to woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood nailing machines.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Set up, operate, or tend woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood nailing machines
- Read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department
- Perform appropriate preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling
- Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rulers, calipers, templates, or gauges
- Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly
- Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
- Monitor operations of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Occasionally – Sitting, Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Reaching, Gripping, Pinching, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs
- Frequently – Walking, Pushing/Pulling, and Lift/Carry up to 65lbs
- Constantly – Standing
* Occasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the time
* Frequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
* Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
