The Consumer Banker will work with existing FFB clients and prospect for new FFB clients to deepen client relationships by booking business directly and by referring, as appropriate, to internal partners such as Mortgage, Wealth, Small Business Banking, Commercial, and Treasury Management.
Responsibilities- Perform necessary functions to open accounts and maintain them.
- Run a teller drawer as needed by management.
- Support client engagement through active calling, conversations, and follow‑up.
- Carry out daily activities that align with The First Financial Bank Experience, partnering with internal constituencies to provide expertise to clients.
- Ensure client follow‑up calls are conducted within the proper time frame.
- Maintain all operational and risk management standards.
- Assist clients in transacting business via branch, drive‑thru, phone, and email as assigned.
- Model First Financial’s Mission and Values for peers and coworkers.
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
- Track, report, and communicate business results and activities to the FCM partner.
- Execute retail strategies to attract, retain, and grow core client relationships.
- Act as a client’s personal trusted advisor using the First Client Conversation Model.
- Participate and lead in site center huddles and meetings to support sales and service activities.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals set by management.
- Provide digital assistance and service for clients using the bank’s online offerings.
- Stay informed on all bank products, processes, and procedures, especially those that are complex.
- 3–4 years of experience in coaching and/or mentoring in a retail environment.
- 3–4 years of personal experience in sales and service with a proven track record of achieving sales and service goals.
- 3–4 years of demonstrated success in meeting performance goals.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4–5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent banking work experience.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, and drive.
The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
Benefits- Pay Scale $19.47/hr – $22.12/hr.
