Position Summary

Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and activities of the MRI scanner, including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may have on‑call responsibilities.

Education & Training
  • Minimum Level of

    Education Required:

    Associate degree.
  • Type of degree:
    Allied Health. Area of study or major:
    Medical Imaging Sciences, including additional MRI physics coursework, completed within 6 months of hire.
Certifications & Licensure
  • CPR Certification required.
  • ARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required.
  • MRI registry preferred.
  • ODH licensure preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum Level of Experience

    Required:

    No prior job‑related work experience.
  • Preferred experience:

    One year MRI experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Cross‑sectional anatomy.
  • American College of Radiology (ACR) MRI Safe Practice Guidelines.
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage.
  • Knowledge of advanced MRI computer applications.
