Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in orderto maintain equipment in good working condition.
May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
May have on call responsibilities.

Allied Health Area of study or major:
Medical Imaging Sciences to include additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire Preferred educational qualifications:
Associate degree, graduate of an accredited program or currently enrolled in a multi-modality program with board certification in MRILicensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS Certification required within 30 days of hireMRI registry preferredODH licensure preferredARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required

No prior job-related work experience
Preferred experience:
One year MRI experience preferred
Knowledge/
Skills:
Cross-sectional anatomy
American College of Radiology (ACR) MRI Safe Practice Guidelines Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage Knowledge of advanced MRI computer applications
