2nd Shift Lathe Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shiftteam at our RAM Precision Industries. The Lathe Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Multus lathe machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Second Shift employees receive a 10% shift premium + paid lunch breaks!

• Setup and operate Multus lathe machines to perform various machining operations such as turning, drilling, threading, and boring
• Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and engineering designs to ensure accurate and precise machining of parts
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished parts to verify conformance with specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience setting up and operating Multus lathe machines
• Strong math skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
