We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Trainee Machinist. In this role, you will receive hands‑on training to develop your skills in operating and maintaining various machining equipment. You will work under the guidance of experienced machinists and supervisors, learning to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Assist experienced machinists in the setup and operation of CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate machining operations.
• Monitor machining processes to ensure parts are produced to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleanliness of machinery and work area.
• Participate in quality control inspections, measuring parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify adherence to tolerances.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Gain familiarity with tooling, fixturing, and setup procedures for various machining processes.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and identify areas for improvement.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in machining is a plus.
• Basic understanding of machining concepts and processes is desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
• Availability to work 2nd shift hours; flexibility to adjust to overtime as necessary.
