Water Grinder

Job Overview:

As a Water Grinder Machinist at RAM Precision Industries, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water grinding machines to produce high-precision components. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that specifications and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes, have a keen eye for detail, and be committed to continuous improvement.

• Operate water grinding machines to perform precision grinding on a variety of materials, adhering to technical specifications and engineering blueprints.
• Set up and adjust grinding machines to achieve desired tolerances and finishes while maintaining optimal machine performance.
• Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, grinding processes, and tool wear, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers to suggest improvements to the grinding process for enhanced efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and proper handling of machinery and tools.
• Document production data, machine maintenance records, and any discrepancies in work orders or processes.
• Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance machining skills and stay updated with industry advancements.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or vocational training in machining is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Water Grinder Machinist or similar role in a machining environment.
• Proficient in operating water grinders and other relevant machinery, with a strong understanding of grinding processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
