The Research Nurse is responsible for providing expertise in the review and implementation of clinical trials for patients, who are eligible and desire to participate.
The Research Nurse is responsible to assess the patient’s eligibility per the clinical trial requirements, confer with the physicians, provide patient and family education, and ensure treatment implementation in concurrence with clinical trial design. Treatment implementation requires interaction with in-patient and out-patient departments, physician offices and national external facilities. The research nurse performs quality data collection and submits it for the research groups.
The Research Nurse is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
