The Research Nurse is responsible for providing expertise in the review and implementation of clinical trials for patients who are eligible and desire to participate. The Research Nurse assesses the patient’s eligibility per the clinical trial requirements, confers with physicians, provides patient and family education, and ensures treatment implementation in accordance with the clinical trial design.
Treatment implementation requires interaction with inpatient and outpatient departments, physician offices, and national external facilities. The research nurse performs quality data collection and submits it for the research groups. The Research Nurse is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree - Type of degree:
Nursing
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Current CPR certification required at the time of hire
- Certification in area of specialty preferred
- Minimum Level of Experience
Required:
1 – 3 years of job-related experience
- Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong organization skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skill
