Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Center

Full time – 72 hours per pay period

Shift options: 8:30am-5:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm

The Wound Center RN is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. This nurse is responsible for the daily operations of the hyperbaric wound care center and works with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safe delivery of wound management and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process along with evidence‑based principles to care for a diverse caseload within the department's scope of service, serving as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentinel. The RN collaborates with and guides team‑delivered care and is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the hyperbaric wound care center.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care workers to provide safe wound management and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Apply the nursing process and evidence‑based principles to care for a diverse patient population.
  • Maintain professionalism, promote excellence, and exercise autonomy in nursing practice.
  • Guide, heal, collaborate, teach, lead, and serve as a sentinel within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and regulatory standards.
Education
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • Valid Ohio RN license.
  • Current CPR certification required at time of hire.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of job‑related experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
