Department: CAMPUS POLICE
Status: FULL TIME / 80 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD
Facility: MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL SOUTH
Security officer means any person whose primary duties are to protect persons or property. Security officers are non-commissioned. Security Officers are not authorized to exercise police officer powers. Responsible for investigation of criminal offenses that occur on facility property. Enforce facility rules and regulations.

Role summary:
Security officers protect persons or property on facility grounds. They are non-commissioned and do not exercise police powers. Responsible for the investigation of criminal offenses on facility property and enforcement of facility rules and regulations.

Education Required:
High School completion / GED - Preferred educational qualifications: Associates Degree
- OPOTA
- Required Basic Security Guard Training. Including the state required 20 hours of firearms Training - Valid Ohio driver’s license required
- Minimum Level of Experience
Required:
No prior job-related work experience
- Computer skills: desirable
- This position requires an individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel.
