Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

As a Shift Leader, you'll help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while creating an environment where both customers and team members thrive.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the team during assigned shifts by setting the example through positive leadership and exceptional customer service
• Delivering an outstanding guest experience while ensuring every customer receives a "Sub Above" experience
• Preparing fresh, high-quality subs and ensuring food is made according to Jersey Mike's standards
• Coaching, supporting, and motivating Crew Members throughout each shift
• Assisting with training and onboarding new team members
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant environment
• Monitoring food quality, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Managing shift execution, including opening and closing responsibilities
• Assisting with inventory, product rotation, and minimizing food waste
• Handling customer questions and resolving concerns professionally
• Supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations

• Has previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience
• Has leadership experience or is ready to take the next step into a leadership role
• Leads by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Communicates effectively with customers and teammates
• Takes ownership, demonstrates accountability, and solves problems with confidence
• Is dependable, organized, and committed to delivering excellent results

Previous shift leadership experience is preferred but not required. We value individuals with strong leadership potential who are eager to learn and grow.

• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
