HGV Technician – Night Shift
Salary: £53,000- £55,282+ per annum
£22.00 per hour + £12.00 night shift allowance
12-hour shifts | 7:00pm – 7:00am
4 on / 4 off, 4 on / 2 off rota
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join a busy and supportive workshop team on a permanent night-shift basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician looking for a consistent shift pattern, competitive hourly rate and the chance to work within a modern, well-maintained fleet.
HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
The Role
You’ll be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of HGV vehicles safe, reliable and on the road. Your duties will include:
Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Carrying out inspections and general maintenance
Fault-finding and diagnostics
Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard
Working safely and efficiently within the workshop
Supporting the wider workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime
HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician About You
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic or Technician with:
HGV mechanical experience
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A full UK driving licence
HGV or PSV licence is desirable
A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician What's on Offer?
£22.00 per hour
£12.00 night shift allowance for every night worked
12-hour shifts, 7pm – 7am
4 on / 4 off, 4 on / 2 off rota
Approx. £57,500+ annual earnings
