Position: Special Education Teacher - Central Falls, RI

Qualifications

Experience:
  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience teaching in elementary and/or middle school settings, preferably in sub‑separate or specialized classrooms
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to cultivating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and instructional techniques
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in sub‑separate settings, ensuring appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place
  • Develop, implement, and track student IEP goals in partnership with general education teachers and related service providers
  • Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to a diverse range of learning styles and student needs
  • Foster positive relationships with students to promote self‑esteem, independence, and academic growth
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, attendance, and interventions
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaborations
