Qualifications& Desired
Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience teaching in elementary and/or middle school settings, preferably in sub‑separate or specialized classrooms
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to cultivating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and instructional techniques
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in sub‑separate settings, ensuring appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place
- Develop, implement, and track student IEP goals in partnership with general education teachers and related service providers
- Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to a diverse range of learning styles and student needs
- Foster positive relationships with students to promote self‑esteem, independence, and academic growth
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, attendance, and interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaborations
