Yushin America, Inc. (YAI) is a leading supplier of automation for the plastics injection-molding industry in the Western Hemisphere. Based in Cranston, Rhode Island, YAI is the largest subsidiary of Yushin Precision Equipment Co., Ltd., of Japan. YAI provides complete automation solutions ranging from single robots to complete "lights-out" factory automation systems, all based on robots manufactured by Yushin Precision Equipment.

Role Description

An Inside Sales Assistant (Technical) provides administrative and technical support to a sales team, bridging the gap between complex product specifications and customer needs. Unlike sales, this role requires a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of products to effectively process orders.

Core Responsibilities
  • Sales Support & Documentation: Prepare and follow up on customer quotes, manage sales orders, and assist in complete technical forms.
  • Technical Translation: Simplify complex technical product information and explain features or benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead & Pipeline Management: Track customer interactions using Salesforce.
  • Client Relationship Building: Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing solutions and technical information to resolve issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and experience with Oracle and Solidworks
  • Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of mechanical or electrical equipment for manufacturing (e.g., robots, sensors) is preferred or required.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex concepts and negotiating terms.
  • Education: A degree in technical fields like engineering or computer science are highly beneficial for advancement into "Inside Sales Engineer" roles.
Growth Potential

Successful assistants can advance to Inside Sales Engineer or Account Executive roles.

Position is on-site – Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
