Senior Accountant - Hybrid Schedule In Central Islip (Suffolk County)
Seeking a Senior Accountant to support a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) project for an acquisitive company in the consumer goods industry. This role requires advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) validation project by verifying product costing and COGS calculations within the ERP system.
- Partnering with IT and Finance to document and validate the end-to-end COGS flow, ensuring system-generated costing is accurate.
- Analyzing and maintaining product costing for 500+ SKUs, identifying discrepancies and supporting costing accuracy.
- Supporting SKU rationalization and integration activities while developing automated reports and analysis using advanced Excel.
- Creating and maintaining process documentation and SOPs while partnering with Finance and IT to improve processes, data integrity, and operational efficiencies.
