Room Leader

The baby room supports children through their earliest stages of development, with a focus on secure attachments and high quality care. As Room Leader, you will oversee the daily running of the baby room, guide your team's practice, and ensure care plans and learning activities are delivered to a high standard. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a nursery rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

• Lead the day‑to‑day running of the baby room
• Plan and oversee age‑appropriate activities and care routines
• Supervise and mentor room staff
• Monitor observations, assessments, and development records
• Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards
• Build consistent relationships with parents and carers

• You must have recent experience working in a baby room and leading a team
• This position is not suitable for candidates without room leadership experience
• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working in a baby room setting
• Previous experience as a Room Leader or senior practitioner
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and early child development
• Confident leading a team and managing room operations

• Salary:
  Up to £35,000 per year, depending on experience
• Full‑time, permanent contract
