Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: City of Westminster

The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

As a Host, you will be the first and last impression of our dining experience: the warm welcome that sets the tone for an unforgettable visit and the gracious farewell that leaves a lasting memory. This role is about far more than managing reservations and seating guests. It is about delivering Relationship Hospitality by creating meaningful connections, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring every individual feels recognised, valued, and genuinely cared for from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence, and genuine care, creating a memorable first impression and setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
  • Manage reservations and table allocations with precision, ensuring a seamless guest journey while balancing operational flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Build meaningful relationships with guests by recognising returning visitors, remembering preferences, and ensuring each guest feels valued and personally welcomed.
  • Work closely with restaurant and kitchen teams to coordinate guest arrivals, table readiness, and service requirements, ensuring a smooth and well‑organised operation throughout service.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to enquiries, special requests, celebrations, accessibility requirements, and dietary considerations, ensuring personalised and attentive service at every stage of the experience.
  • Maintain a welcoming and elegant reception area, ensuring guests are always acknowledged, comfortable, and informed throughout their visit.
  • Handle wait times, reservation changes, walk‑ins, and guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and composure, always seeking positive solutions that protect the guest experience.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our dining experiences, menus, events, and hotel offerings, confidently sharing information to enhance the guest experience and encourage future visits.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and service excellence, ensuring every interaction reflects the luxury experience and values of Rosewood.
About You
  • Connection — You build genuine warmth with guests naturally, making every table feel personally attended to while working in close, trusted partnership with your colleagues to deliver a seamlessly coordinated service.
  • Guest-Centricity — You have an instinct for exceptional service, understanding that every detail — from the placement of a glass to the timing of a course — contributes to an experience our guests will remember.
  • Influencing — You communicate with confidence and ease, adapting your tone whether guiding guests through a menu, making a tailored recommendation, or coordinating with the kitchen under pressure.
  • Integrity — You follow service standards consistently, take full responsibility for your section, and handle every guest interaction with discretion, care, and professionalism.
  • Drive — You bring genuine energy to every shift, holding yourself to the highest personal standards, going the extra mile without being asked, and always looking for ways to improve.
  • Adaptability — You stay composed and solutions-focused when the pace intensifies or priorities shift, adjusting seamlessly to meet the evolving needs of guests and the service environment.
What we can offer you
  • 12 complimentary room nights across The Rosewood Hotel portfolio (friends & family rates also available)
  • Discounts on Food & Beverage
  • Flexible benefits app and monthly allowance to spend on whatever you like
  • Give days - A paid volunteering day of leave annually
