Nestled amongst the timeless Georgian townhouses and luxury boutiques of Mayfair, The Shepherd Mayfair sits on the western edge of Shepherd's Market, moments from Park Lane, Hyde Park, Green Park and Knightsbridge, and within walking distance of Piccadilly.

As we prepare to open the doors of The Shepherd Mayfair, we are looking for a People & Culture Manager to build and lead the heart of the hotel: its people.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will own the full People & Culture function, from building our team to shaping the culture, standards and ways of working that will define The Shepherd Mayfair for years to come. In a hotel where every guest experience is personal, you will make sure every colleague experience is too.

You will be someone who understands what luxury hospitality asks of its people, and who embodies it yourself - polished, discreet, warm and always one step ahead. You will be a trusted advisor to leaders, a confident partner to the General Manager and a genuine champion for every member of the team.

• Lead pre-opening recruitment, attracting and selecting a team who reflect the personality and standards of The Shepherd Mayfair
• Design and deliver an onboarding experience that brings our culture to life from day one
• Build a strong employer brand and talent pipeline, positioning the hotel as an employer of choice in London's luxury market
• Manage all aspects of employee relations, providing clear, confident and confidential guidance to managers and colleagues
• Ensure policies, procedures and practices are compliant with UK employment law, including right to work and people-related audits
• Manage monthly payroll, working closely with Finance to keep labour costs in line with budget
• Oversee absence, holiday and wellbeing, creating an environment where colleagues feel supported
• Introduce and embed performance reviews, development planning and succession planning across all departments
• Work with heads of department to shape training and development that supports our service standards and grows our people
• Use people data - turnover, engagement, absence and labour costs - to spot trends and bring forward practical solutions
