Plumber (Multi‑Skilled) – Peckham Area
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Location:
Croydon & surrounding areas

Van, fuel card and power tools provided
We are currently recruiting two experienced plumbers to join a responsive repairs and maintenance team working across social housing properties in and around the Peckham area.
This is a multi‑skilled role, primarily plumbing‑focused, delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service across both occupied and void properties.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a consistently high standard of plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Carry out responsive and void works, including gas work where qualified and appropriate
- Use additional trade skills to complete the majority of repairs on the first visit
- Accurately complete all job records and administrative tasks from job receipt to completion
- Communicate effectively with tenants, colleagues, and other trades
- Self‑manage workload and check own work to ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety requirements at all times
- Clearly explain tenant repair responsibilities when required
- Identify and report rechargeable repairs
- Proactively report any property, safeguarding, or tenant‑related issues
- Work in line with risk assessments, training, and company procedures
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Fully competent in all aspects of plumbing
- Additional trade skills to support first‑time fix performance
- Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, organised, and thorough approach to work
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Previous experience working in social housing
- Knowledge of housing and building maintenance
- Experience assessing jobs and implementing practical solutions
Comfortable using PDA systems to manage and update jobs
- Commitment to delivering a high‑quality service
- Strong understanding of equality, diversity, and confidentiality
- Professional, proactive, and tenant‑focused attitude
