This role is offered by PRS Recruitment Services, specializing in recruitment for the built space environment, data centre engineering, and facilities engineering.

This beautifully restored six-storey Edwardian property, located in London’s prestigious W1 district, is home to a collection of exclusive, high-end residences and hospitality spaces. The building features fully integrated BMS controls, cutting‑edge mechanical & electrical systems, advanced VRV cooling, and a commercial‑grade kitchen.

You will join a small, highly skilled engineering team to provide first‑line maintenance on building systems and general handyman duties across the property.

  Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

  During key periods, the team may operate flexible shifts or extended hours, including occasional 24‑hour cover on rotation.
• All additional hours are fully compensated through overtime pay or agreed time off in lieu.

• Conduct first‑line maintenance to the property’s services, from handyman functions to complex M&E, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor and assist with the operation of a fully BMS‑controlled building – training provided.
• Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks, including hot water systems, taps, showers, small appliances, minor floor/wall/door repairs and finishes, hanging shelves, pictures, mirrors, fixtures, external building upkeep, fabric repairs, and assistance with maintenance in the commercial kitchen areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and carry out preventative checks.
• Maintain clean, safe, and professional standards at all times.

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role (hotels, luxury residential, commercial buildings).
• Basic working knowledge & interest in mechanical/electrical systems, HVAC building services.
• A positive, hands‑on attitude and willingness to learn and help out across all areas.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work discreetly in a premium environment.
• Comfortable with flexible working during busier periods (with appropriate compensation).

• NVQ, City & Guilds, or other trade qualification in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Health & Safety awareness (manual handling, COSHH, risk assessments).

• £28,000 – £40,000 per annum
