Electrical Shift Engineer – Continental Shift – Commercial Building
Location:
Liverpool Street, London. Salary: up to £55,800 per annum. The role requires an electrically qualified individual with C & G or NVQ.

Hours of work:
Continental Shift – 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6 off, 4 days (07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 – 07:00).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lighting – small installation, fault‑finding, lamping, changing ballasts, control panel, power distribution
- Emergency lighting
- Air Conditioning – Air Handling Units & Fan Coil Units (filter changes, cleaning)
- Chillers – re‑set
- Water treatment – temperature checks, not dosing
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Plumbing – unblocking toilets
- Pumps and motors
- Water treatment
- BMS system – monitor (hot & cold)
- Undertake all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner
- Identify and report faults, take steps to resolve them
- Report all H&S issues as required
- Maintain informal communication with client staff about service levels and issues
- Report service‑affecting incidents to site management for formal client communication
- Remain flexible with site attendance and tasks within competency
- Be fully aware of relevant health & safety and general legislative matters
- Escort specialist subcontractors
- Electrically qualified level (C & G, NVQ, etc.)
- 18th Edition electrical regulations knowledge
- Experience working in a large commercial building
- Copies of trade certificates (essential)
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi‑skilled
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to start at 07:00 am
