Thermal Insulation Engineer - Apprentice

As a Thermal Insulation Apprentice, you will be responsible for aiding the insulation team in carrying out insulation duties, ensuring the company's insulation operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in line with our client requirements, to gain an industry recognised qualification.

As a KAEFER Thermal Insulation apprentice you will be required to attend college in 2‑week block intervals whilst gaining the L3 Apprentice standard for Commercial Thermal Insulation Technician, which includes Functional Skills L2 in Maths and English if L4 GCSEs not gained, Employer Rights and Responsibilities, PASMA and Asbestos Awareness.

• Applying insulation materials
• Applying sheet metal and various finishes to pipework and ductwork
• Fabricating cladding materials
• Identification of risks

• You will be able to communicate according to the situation and have confidence to articulate yourself appropriately.
• You should be adaptable to change and also be resilient in character and able to deal with any challenges that may arise.
• Enthusiasm, reliability, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team are key.
• Proactive thinking with the ability to identify resources and solutions when faced with a challenge would be beneficial.
• Being organised and meticulous with the ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation and time‑management skills would be an advantage.
