Salary & Benefits
£16.34 per hour (inclusive of cost of living rate) plus company vehicle, overtime pay, and Veolia benefits.

Working Location & HoursMobile across London and the South. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (flexible between 06:00am - 06:00pm). This role requires flexibility, including standby cover, overtime and occasional periods of working away from home.
Responsibilities- Work as part of a team of engineers across a range of sites.
- Assist with inspections, services and repairs to customers’ dewatering machines.
- Assist in mechanical repairs and modifications to pumps, pipework, valves and other ancillary equipment.
- Assist pipework installations using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials.
- Undertake standby cover and overtime as required; be flexible to work away from home.
- Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
- Work alongside on‑site customer teams and liaise with customers as a point of contact.
- Maintain and repair dewatering equipment and ancillaries on sewage and clean water treatment facilities.
- Ensure energy‑efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks.
- Reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first‑time fixes.
- Provide front‑line care and maintenance of customer dewatering assets, keeping them in optimum working condition and readily available.
- Operate assets safely and effectively in line with company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant health and safety requirements.
- Operate mobile hire equipment correctly, safely and in accordance with all relevant operational and compliance standards.
Essential:
- Full UK Driving License.
- Previous experience in working in an industrial environment or newly qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable:
- NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 2.
- Experience in maintaining equipment typically found on water and sewage treatment plants.
- Confined Space Training.
- First Aid Trained.
