Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
The RoleAs a Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties, focusing on achieving first‑time fixes and maintaining excellent standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance including leak detection, hot and cold water systems, immersion heaters, bathrooms and kitchens
- Complete reactive and planned maintenance works within occupied properties
- Undertake basic multi‑trade works including:
- Wall and floor tiling
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Patch plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Accurately record completed works using a mobile device
- Work closely with supervisors, schedulers and support teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Follow health and safety procedures and complete relevant risk assessments
- Deliver excellent customer service when working in residents' homes
- Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota when required
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate
- Previous experience within social housing repairs and maintenance
- Multi‑trade experience including tiling, carpentry, plastering or decorating
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Professional, reliable and customer‑focused approach
- Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience
