Electrical Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Location:
City of London. Salary:
Up to £45,000, plus £3,140 shift allowance and benefits. Shift Pattern:
Continental Shift. Status:
Permanent.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading Facilities Management provider supporting a prestigious critical commercial site in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high‑profile environment, delivering first‑class maintenance while developing your career with a market‑leading FM business.
Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across building services plant.
- Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, UPS, HVAC, and associated equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and minimize disruption to critical operations.
- Update maintenance records and complete all relevant documentation.
- Liaise with engineers and site teams to deliver a high standard of service.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures within a live critical environment.
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
- Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience with in Facilities Management or commercial building services.
- Strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a continental shift team.
- Good communication and client‑facing skills.
- Experience with in critical environments such as banking, data centres, or high‑profile commercial buildings.
- HV/LV knowledge or switching experience.
- Up to £45,000 basic salary + £3,140 shift allowance.
