We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to work on a variety of construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects across Central London.
We are looking for a skilled and reliable carpenter who is confident working independently, as well as alongside other trades and site teams. The role will involve a variety of first and second fix carpentry, installation, repairs and finishing works.
Key Responsibilities- First and second fix carpentry
- Studwork, partitioning and timber framing
- Hanging and fitting doors
- Installing door frames, linings and architraves
- Fitting skirting boards, mouldings and trims
- Installing ironmongery
- General joinery and finishing works
- Timber fixtures, fittings and installations
- Boxing-in and general carpentry alterations
- Repairs, adjustments and remedial works
- Making-good and snagging
- Installing access panels and service openings
- Carrying out general carpentry modifications as required
- Reading and working from drawings and site instructions
- Working closely with site management and other trades
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
The successful candidate will have solid experience as a Carpenter or Joiner, ideally within construction, refurbishment or fit-out environments.
You should be:- Skilled in both first and second fix carpentry
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools
- Able to read drawings and follow site instructions
- Experienced working on construction or refurbishment sites
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Professional in your approach
- Flexible and willing to assist with other associated tasks when required
- Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety
- CSCS card essential.
- Relevant carpentry qualifications and refurbishment or fit-out experience are desirable.
- Work available across Central London
