HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter across the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Maritime Shipping, Energy, Subsea and technical engineering sectors. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chiller Engineer to join a well-established organisation within the commercial HVAC and cooling industry.
This is a field-based position carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial and industrial chiller systems.
Duties and Responsibilities- Service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial chillers.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigeration faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Commission and start up HVAC and chiller equipment where required.
- Use technical drawings, specifications and diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- Attend customer sites and take ownership of works through to completion.
- Complete service reports and associated technical documentation.
- Identify additional remedial works and equipment requirements.
- Liaise professionally with customers and internal service teams.
- Work safely and in accordance with company and industry procedures.
- Previous experience working as a Chiller Engineer, HVAC Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Service Engineer.
- Strong experience servicing and fault finding on commercial/industrial chillers.
- Good understanding of refrigeration systems, controls and associated electrical/mechanical equipment.
- F-Gas qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- £40,000 - £60,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
