A. Warekois CPA, LLC (JAW) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Client Accounting Lead to join our growing CPA and advisory firm.

This is not just another payroll processing position.

We’re looking for a payroll subject matter expert who enjoys solving complex issues, helping clients navigate compliance challenges, mentoring team members, and serving as a trusted resource for both clients and coworkers.

• Work directly with business owners
• Serve as a payroll compliance expert and advisor
• Mentor and support developing payroll professionals
• Expand beyond payroll into client accounting services
• No weekends during most of the year

• Process and review client payrolls
• Resolve payroll tax notices and compliance matters
• Support Paid Leave Oregon, Oregon Saves, and payroll implementations
• Serve as a payroll compliance resource for clients and staff
• Mentor payroll processors and assist with training new team members
• Support bookkeeping and client accounting projects
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and clients

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• ADP or similar payroll platform experience
• Payroll tax notice and Oregon payroll compliance experience
• Oregon Frances Online experience preferred
• Quick Books Online experience preferred
• Strong communication, client service, and problem-solving skills
• Someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
