School District #6 is located in the famous Rogue River Valley of Southern Oregon, nestled between the Cascade and Siskiyou Mountain ranges. - COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
- $19.76 - $23.75, depending upon approved accepted experience
- Longevity pay after completion of 6 years of employment
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon School Employees Association)
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
- 8 paid holidays annually
- 10 paid sick leave days per year
- 2 paid personal leave days per year
- 5 paid bereavement leave days per year, per occurrence
- $80.17 per month toward either:
Section 125 or 403B (if employee elects to enroll in either a Section 125 or 403B, the district will match an additional $40. per month) - $60. per month employer match into a tax sheltered annuity when employee contributes $35. per month

PROGRAM SUPPORT SECRETARY
Purpose: The Program Support Secretary ensures the efficient and organized administration of a District-level program or department by coordinating communication between district and school personnel and performing specialized secretarial and clerical duties.
Reports to: District-level administrator, supervisor, or licensed specialist Nature of Work: The Program Support Secretary works independently following standardized routines under general supervision. The nature of the work requires knowledge of and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. Because the job at times requires coordinating and organizing between school and district-level personnel, the position requires significant communication, organizational and managerial aptitude, as well as a high level of professional decorum.
Supervision Exercised: No direct supervision.
Interface: Primarily interfaces with administrators, licensed and non-licensed school staff. The Incumbent will occasionally interact with students and families.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinates the office operations of a district level administrator(s) or department(s), including matters pertaining to scheduling, record-keeping and correspondence.
- Screens incoming calls, mail and visitors, responding independently to routine inquiries not requiring the attention of an administrator or supervisor.
- Provide scheduling support by managing multiple calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings and conferences for administrators or licensed specialists.
- Coordinates between school personnel and administration/supervisor/specialists in the gathering of records and information needed to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training, as necessary, to perform specialized protocols and tasks.
- Monitors, organizes and maintains various types of records, some of which will contain personal and/or confidential information.
