• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working in a self-contained classroom strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management abilities
• Commitment to providing differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with IEP goals in a self-contained environment
• Create a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere that promotes student achievement and social-emotional growth
• Implement appropriate behavioral management strategies and ongoing assessment of student progress
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and staff to ensure student needs are met
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and parent/guardian communications
