Mechanical Designer (3 Openings) – Aerospace

We're seeking experienced Mechanical Designers to join a growing engineering team supporting the design, development, and modernization of advanced aircraft systems. This is a long-term onsite contract (12+ months) offering the opportunity to work on high-profile aerospace programs in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

In this role, you'll use Solid Works to design and model mechanical systems, aircraft structures, and components while creating detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation. You'll partner with cross‑functional engineering teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and compliance, while supporting prototyping, design reviews, production, installation, and testing. You'll also perform tolerance stack-ups, develop bills of materials (BOMs), and ensure designs meet FAA, AS9100, and engineering standards.

What

We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial manufacturing
  • Strong proficiency in Solid Works (required)
  • Experience creating mechanical assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with aircraft structures, installations, or aerospace manufacturing
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and AS9100 documentation requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

If you’re passionate about mechanical design and want to contribute to cutting‑edge aerospace projects, we’d love to hear from you.
