Mechanical Designer (3 Openings) – Aerospace
We're seeking experienced Mechanical Designers to join a growing engineering team supporting the design, development, and modernization of advanced aircraft systems. This is a long-term onsite contract (12+ months) offering the opportunity to work on high-profile aerospace programs in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.
In this role, you'll use Solid Works to design and model mechanical systems, aircraft structures, and components while creating detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation. You'll partner with cross‑functional engineering teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and compliance, while supporting prototyping, design reviews, production, installation, and testing. You'll also perform tolerance stack‑ups, develop bills of materials (BOMs), and ensure designs meet FAA, AS9100, and engineering standards.
WhatWe're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial manufacturing
- Strong proficiency in Solid Works (required)
- Experience creating mechanical assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
- Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with aircraft structures, installations, or aerospace manufacturing
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and AS9100 documentation requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
If you're passionate about mechanical design and want to contribute to cutting‑edge aerospace projects, we'd love to hear from you.
